“The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our senses to become aware of them.”

— William Butler Yeats

My name is Maru Flores, and I was born at the foot of the Andes Mountains in Salta, Argentina. A traveling spirit and an insatiable curiosity led me to explore different corners of the world, but today, with two little chicks by my side, we’ve decided to make our home in La Rioja, Spain. Here, alongside my life partner, we’ve created a nest full of love, laughter, and little daily adventures.

I am a collector at heart. One of those who keeps memories, small treasures that others might consider mere scraps. I learned this from my dad, a collector of everything (and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING). Holding on to what has a story, what connects us to a moment, brings me peace. Drawings, photos, letters, gifts, clippings, books, and yes, even the little pieces of nature I find along the way.

To me, beauty lies in simplicity. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. Seeing how life unfolds in every corner, how it reveals itself in every leaf, flower, or stone, is one of the greatest gifts I have. Admiring God's work through its details is my way of being in the world.

Photography is my favorite tool to evoke and share this love for the natural world. I play with elements from the earth: leaves, branches, flowers, seeds to create unique, ephemeral compositions full of life. Every photo I take is a way to capture that fleeting moment of beauty, and when everything is dismantled, I return each element to the earth as an act of respect and gratitude.

Each photo I take is not just a frozen moment; it’s a way to relive the entire creative process that made me smile. And my greatest wish is that, when you see my photos, they also bring a smile to your face.
